red and blue plane in flight, 150 pieces with one replacement piece, circa 1930, Issued in conjunction with “Popular Flying” magazine which was edited by Capt. W.E. Johns the author of the famous “Biggles” books. Info on the Jigasaurus website states-"-Very scarce plywood jigsaw puzzle from the "Crazy-Cut" series "Conquest of the Air", which features a superb painting of the de Havilland D.H. 80A-Puss Moth which was in production during the period 1929-1933", some images courtesy of this website.
