On page 74 they discuss these four sets-ROSEY RUTH, DEAR DOROTHY, MERRY MARION, and SWEET ALICE. Sets that come in two different versions.This is the larger sized doll and series of dresses. The doll's head is separate but to be attached to the body so that the dresses slide under the chin and hair. There are no slits. They are marked with titles on the boxes but only identified as ARTISTIC SERIES on the backs of the dolls and dresses. Please note the two different spellings of ROSEY or ROSY RUTH. They come in white cardboard boxes titled DOLLS FOR ALL SEASONS PATENTED FEBRY 20TH 1894.MERRY MARION. HER HATS AND HER GOWNS. DESIGNED BY MARGRET MCDONALD. RAPHAEL TUCK & SONS. LONDON. PARIS.
