On pages 55 they discuss this series. consists of four sets, BELLE OF THE SOUTH-ARTISTIC SERIES XII, BELLE OF THE WEST-ARTISTIC SERIES XIII, BELLE OF NEWPORT-ARTISTIC SERIES XIV, and BELLE OF SARATOGA-ARTISTIC SERIES XV. -all with four costumes and matching hats, costumes come with neck attached, published in America. NOTE-there were British sets also published with these artistic series numbers but they are in a different series.-see page 55. Each is marked on reverse Tuck artistic series easel and palette trademark with BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT. doll, head separate but "attached at a proper angle, onto an elongated neck, space being left under the chin to slip on the separate costume which also came with a neck long enough to allow this manipulation" page 70 of PAPER DOLLS A GUIDE TO COSTUME BY CLARA HALLARD FAWCETT, 1951. , short brown hair with curls, she faces forward, she wears a full length elaborate under coat slip with lace at the sleeves, collar, and hemline. she has blue ribbon accents throughout, there are three bracelets on each wrist and a tight white belt. costumes have attached neck to fit under head.
